Hello Coalhurst!
My family and I truly hit the jackpot when we landed in Coalhurst back in September 2020. My wife and I, with a new addition to our family, wanted to be closer to relatives, and this town immediately felt like home. The warmth of the people here is truly what makes Coalhurst so special—from the neighbors who welcomed us with open arms to the thoughtful strangers who offered a helping hand, it’s clear this community is exceptional. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who has made Coalhurst feel like home for us!
Since 2021, it’s been an honor to serve as a Council Member for the Town of Coalhurst. You can often find updates on my work and what’s happening around town on my Facebook page, and my LinkedIn profile shares more about my professional journey.
Professionally, my background is in Mechanical Engineering Technology, which has taken me to incredible places around the world—from the frosty nights of Northern Alberta and Canada’s East Coast to the Australian outback. These experiences have given me the chance to work in diverse conditions with a wide array of people. Currently, I work remotely as a draftsman for a company based in Edmonton.
When I’m not focused on council duties or work, my greatest joy is spending time with my family. We’ve had a blast exploring the parks and playgrounds in and around Coalhurst and Lethbridge with our son. For a little “me time,” you’ll likely find me making sausage or enjoying a peaceful evening fishing on the north shore of Park Lake. I also love connecting with new friends over board games and, now that we’re in sunny Southern Alberta, I’m looking forward to more hikes in the stunning mountains of Banff and Waterton.

My Council Core Values
Be Engaging
Communication is key. I believe a strong council relies on the input of residents. To have their best interests at heart we need to understand their wants and needs. Without engagement, we miss out on the goals of the community as a whole.
Be Accountable
Council should be transparent about its plans and actions. News about town activities and decisions should be easily accessible for all in a timely manner. This allows for accountability as all residents can be as involved as they choose to be.
Strive to Succeed
Taking pride in what we do will lead us to be able to provide efficiency as a council. When we use our skills effectively we can achieve more. By leveraging our individual skills and personal traits we can achieve our community goals.
